Andalee's Belly Dance Newsletter
Wow! What a summer! To think that it's almost over saddens me...but with the end of the season comes a new one of both productivity and reflection. I had a great summer though; I was teaching classes, working on new choreographies and projects, in addition to getting a little relaxation time in! I hope you had a great summer, too!
Take at look at what's coming up in the next few months and keep in touch!
Fall Belly Dance Classes
Back to school blues? Shake them off (literally!) with some belly dance! Andalee's newest class will focus on basic technique, shimmy drills, and just having fun!
Ninth Street Dance
1920 1/2 Perry St., Durham, NC 27705
Learn traditional Middle Eastern dance movements that have been passed down for generations in this entry-level class. Beginning belly dance is about learning how to connect with your body and spirit. Suitable for all shapes, sizes and activity levels, but you will get a work out! This class will focus on improving flexibility, conditioning the body in order to do the movements properly, and building stamina. You will learn basic belly dance techniques that focus on the core aspects of the dance. Wear comfortable clothes. Pants or shorts are preferred as we may stretch on the floor. Bring water. Dance shoes and hip scarves are optional. Signing up for a whole session and attending classes consecutively is strongly encouraged as each class will build upon the previous classes. New students may try one class per session on a complimentary basis. If you decide to enroll, this class will be counted as your first class; payment will be due by the beginning of your second class. For more information or to register visit Ninthstreetdance.com.

Do you have pictures of Andalee from an event or show? Do you have something to say? Did Andalee make your special event memorable? Are you a former student who benefited from my classes? If so, please send me an e-mail. I'm currently looking for photos and testimonials to display on my Web site. A testimonial would be something you liked about my performance, but most importantly what you got out of it and how it benefited you. I only need a few sentences.
As a thank you for helping me, I will give you 10% off of your next booking. If you do not need to book a belly dancer, I will honor the 10% discount to a friend of yours (via referral) or you can take $10 off the price of a private lesson. Any and all submissions are welcome.
