Belly Dance Class Schedule
Andalee is an Oriental dancer and instructor who has been studying Middle Eastern dance for four years. Andalee’s warmth, grace and openness allow this dance to come to life. She’ll teach you that Oriental dance is truly accessible to anyone. Andalee’s dance style pulls from the many teachers she has studied with here in the Triangle. There are many ways to Belly dance, and she’ll explore the different techniques and styles. You can pick the ones that work for you and your body!

Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:00p
Session runs March 18- May 20

Learn traditional Middle Eastern dance movements that have been passed down for generations in this entry-level class. Beginning belly dance is about learning how to connect with your body and spirit. Suitable for all shapes, sizes and activity levels, but you will get a work out! This class will focus on improving flexibility, conditioning the body in order to do the movements properly, and building stamina. You will learn basic belly dance techniques that focus on the core aspects of the dance. Wear comfortable clothes. Pants or shorts are preferred as we may stretch on the floor. Bring water. Dance shoes and hip scarves are optional.
Fees for most classes must be paid by the first class for the entire session. Fees prorated as session progresses. Signing up for a whole session and attending classes consecutively is strongly encouraged as each class will build upon the previous classes. New students may try one class per session on a complimentary basis. If you decide to enroll, this class will be counted as your first class; payment will be due by the beginning of your second class.

The student troupe only requires that you have completed one session of beginner belly dance with me. I am hoping that there may be community performance opportunities. There are no auditions. Check back to see if spots are open in May 2010.
